It appears that M Lenny-Smith (possibly Martin) was painting in Cornwall in the 1920’s and 30’s, and whilst not a great deal is known about him he was clearly a trained artist. This painting shows great ability in handling paint as well as a great understanding of structure and of the impressionistic style.
