A fine William IV nursing or slipper chair in rosewood, with a fully padded and buttoned backrest with swept showframe sides with scrolling terminals and anthemion ends, to a generous seat on turned supports with outswept rear supports on brass casters. English, circa 1830.
Condition: Excellent, the chair is in very good condition, is solid and robust, and is comfortable to sit on. It has recently been upholstered in a damask style fabric in very pale green-blue and with brocade edges.
