A pair of George III candlesticks in Old Sheffield Plate in the style of Robert Adam, of oval form with reeded detachable drip pans fitted to vase shaped sconces over a slender tapering shaft to a spreading foot. English, circa 1780.
Condition: Overall very good, both candlesticks stand straight and are in good condition, each with a certain amount of ‘bleeding’ where the copper is showing through. The bases retain what appears to be the original baize.
